MESSAGE FROM
THE PRESIDENT
With THEi’s continuous dedication in promoting
applied research, I am delighted to invite you to
celebrate our students’ remarkable achievements
at the Student Applied Research Presentation
(SARP) 2025. This annual event showcases the
Final Year Projects of our undergraduates from
six academic departments — Construction,
Environment and Engineering; Design and
Architecture; Digital Innovation and Technology;
Food and Health Sciences; Hospitality and
Business Management; and Sport and Recreation.
The projects cover a wide spectrum of topics,
from the study of new materials and engineering
innovations to research on artificial intelligence,
landscape design, sustainability, traditional
Chinese medicine, sports therapy, cinematic and
multimedia design — each addressing real-world
challenges and societal needs.

Throughout their final year, our students applied
knowledge and skills gained at THEi to conduct
independent research under the guidance
of their supervisors. This enabled them to
develop essential professional competencies,
including critical thinking, communication, and
problem-solving skills, which are vital for success
in today’s dynamic workplace.
Marching towards our journey to become
University of Applied Science, THEi will continue
our success in advancing innovative applied
research and contribute to society in nurturing
young talents to be work-ready.
