Among this number were 441,736 domestic flights, only 0.98 percent increase versus previous year, and 444,695 international flights, or 25.38 percent increase versus previous year.
This growth is a result of tourism promotion measures implemented by several countries around the world, including Thailand. These measures include visa exemption policies, efforts to stimulate travel demand, route expansion, introduction of new destinations, and increased flight frequencies.
As a result, Thailand’s overall flight volume in 2024 recovered to 83.01 percent of the pre-pandemic level in 2019. Domestic flight volume recovered to 79.75 percent, while international flight volume recovered to 86.52 percent.

Overall air freight statistics during last 10 years (2015-2024) shown that COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 affected air freight during early stage because limitations of air transport service for air freight is less impactful than passenger service. Therefore, Thailand’s air freight has significantly recovered since 2021 and drove average growth of air freight to 1.13 percent per year during 2015-2024. In 2024, overall air freight volume of Thailand reached 1,515,243.63 tons, or 21.89 percent increase from previous year, marking
