A Word from Our Editors

Dear Reader,

When we chose this year’s theme, Under the Sea,

childhood memories certainly played a large role. Who
doesn’t like to explore the ocean’s wonder? When we

picked this theme, who would have known that it would be
so relevant in our lives today? As the ocean is so

incredibly vast, mysterious, and filled with uncertainty, so
too is Life. Although this isn’t the publication that we had

envisioned, we hope that you will nevertheless enjoy this

online version of Jewel of the Sea, which is similar to the
pearl. Only under the most difficult of circumstances and

darkest of moments does the pearl transform into the most
beautiful jewel of the sea. We hope you all are becoming

pearls during this time.

With that being said, thank you to each and every one of

our contributors, without whom this book would not be a
success. Thank you, Mr. Sev, for always being by our side.

Last but certainly not least, a warm thanks to our readers.
We truly hope that you enjoy the talents that our Nazareth

community has to offer.
