• In our study, the presence of ≥40% dysmorphic RBCs and/or ≥5% acanthocytes were he best criteria for classifying the haematuria as glomerular
• On the contrary, RBC casts had the highest PPV but the lowest sensitivity. However, in 1/55 samples they were the only criterion suggesting the presence of a glomerular haematuria. Therefore, we believe they must always be looked for
