•Vacuolar changes also described in the tissue of both human ATN (caused by mannitol, radiographic contrast agents, burns, or hepatorenal syndrome) and animal models (but, no renal biopsies in this study!!)
•Oval fat bodies also frequent in ATN; however the relationship between OVBs & BCs is not clear: are they the same cells at different stages of injury?
