                   The Passed Down Stories

We who once met In return she kissed me
Became inseparable friends On a full moon night
Together we listened to music And told me
Went to the movies ‘Here begins the travel
Read stories and novels Advance without losing the way
Made paintings and sculptures Happily tread those paths
By day and night Arduous and troublesome
Held discussions And we shall reach the destination
Even till late night By the stroke of the next sunrise’.
                   And having witnessed
The visual splendors all around I wish all success
We made ourselves a new human. To everybody
I did not mutilate my ear In their journey
Unlike Van Gogh Towards a bright future.
                   To gift my darling,
                   But passed each other
                   A thousand stories.
                   I gave her to read
                   Broken Wings,
                   my favourite Khalil Gibran
