When coating the inside of a municipal
water tank the coating must have a
potable water certification to make sure it
doesn’t contaminate the drinking or potable
water. The Vortex BPW-100 is just the
coating you need for this application.
Blue Base coat and White Top coat.
Designed for interior steel and concrete
water tanks that hold 6,000+ gallons of
drinking water, the VPW meets the
regulations for such applications.

Vortex Constant Immersion XWR-50
XWR-50 Coating

XWR-50 coating stands for “Extreme Water
Resistant” and that is exactly what the XWR-
50 is designed for. It is different than the
VPW-100 Potable Water in that it does not
have the potable / drinking water ratings so
it cannot be used in a drinking water vessel.
However, it can be used in areas like a
water tank that hold rain water for irrigation
or a water truck tank to protect the metal
from rusting.

It is also more economical in cost. So if you
need to coat something that will be standing
in water a lot and isn’t used for drinking, the
XWR-50 coating is your answer.
