FIAP Biennials Service
Anhui is a fascinating region with 2,200 years of ancient cultural heritage which coexist with high-tech
innovations. The FIAP delegation explored the historic Huizhou Ancient City and the scenic Huangshan, a By Luis Franke, MFIAP, EFIAP/d3, HonEFIAP
UNESCO World Heritage site. FIAP and the Anhui Provincial Government made plans to organise an Anhui FIAP Director of the Biennials Service
International Season for global photographers from 27 October to 4 November 2026.
Directors FIAP Biennials 2027 Directors
We are pleased to announce that the FIAP Youth Biennial,
organized by Egypt, and the FIAP Colour Biennial, organized by
Montenegro, will be held in 2027.
The full regulations for both biennials will be published in the near
future. In the meantime, to assist participants in planning their entries,
we would like to provide the tentative closing dates for each event.

IMPORTANT: FIAP Biennials are competitions between countries
with an Operational Member (a photographic organization affiliated with FIAP that acts at a national
level) that is a member of FIAP. Individuals interested in participating should approach the FIAP
affiliated organization within their country to seek information about their country’s process for
selecting photos to represent their country in this event.

43 FIAP Youth Biennial 2027 – Egypt
The Youth Biennial consists of two age-based categories:
Exploring Huangshan in the rain • Category I: up to the age of 16 years (under the age of 16 before the closing date for entries)
• Category II: up to the age of 25 years (under the age of 25 before the closing date for
entries)
Each author can participate in only one category. Entries are limited to 20 works per federation
per category with a maximum of two (2) works per author.
Open Theme. Each federation will select the works it wants to present. Images must be in
digital format (colour and/or monochrome). There is no requirement for coherence of subject or
presentation in the photos selected for the collection.
Estimated closing date: end of March 2027.

The Colour Biennial consists of two sections:
• Colour prints: limited to 10 photographs per federation with a maximum of one (1) work
per author
• Colour digital images: limited to 20 works per federation with a maximum of two (2) works
per author.
Open Theme. Each federation will select the works (the collections) it wants to present. Each
collection has to be a coherent set of images. To achieve the best coherence, consideration should
be given to the inspiration and conception of the set, as well as the realisation and the presentation.
Each federation has the choice of subject and the presentation of its works.
Estimated closing date: mid-March 2027.
