Director FIAP Photo Academy Online Events this time Marcel van Balken gave a presentation of his images to the members and guests of the
Chair of the Organising Committee Dublin Camera Club including some who travelled many kilometres to attend. This also saw the
opening of an exhibition of Marcel’s images in the Dublin FIAP Exhibition Centre.
On Saturday 7 March 2026 the members of the Dublin Camera Club, which is a FIAP Exhibition

Centre, hosted the Awards Ceremony and an exhibition of some of the awarded images in their new
home in central Dublin.

This was attended by Paul Stanley, the Director of the FIAP Photo Academy Online Events and a
Many of the photographers whose images represented Ireland attended the event, including
those who had won awards. We were also very pleased to host Anastasios Kolanis and his wife from
Athens, Greece who travelled to Dublin for the weekend. And, also, Robert Millin who travelled to
Dublin from his home near Liverpool, England. Our thanks go to all of those who made the this effort
to support the organisers and FIAP.
We were also very pleased to present the ESFIAP Certificate and Pin to Gabriel O’Shaughnessy who
was awarded this distinction by the FIAP Directory Board for his commitment to photography and to
FIAP and for his tireless work over the years in promoting FIAP and its activities in Ireland and abroad.
The exhibition of 38 prints in the FIAP Exhibition Centre included the awarded panels entered in
the Print Section from the Russian Federation, from Ireland and from South Africa and also each of
the individual award winning images.
We also had a temporary exhibition of prints from all participating countries in the Print Section
and a digital presentation of all the winning panels, individual award winning images and some
images from each of the participating countries in the Digital Section.

The exhibition of the awarded prints continued until 31 March 2026 and was seen by many visitors.
The Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) were honoured by FIAP to be the hosts of the 31 FIAP
st
Colour Biennial in 2025.
Luis Franke, the Biennials Director for FIAP sought volunteers to organise Biennials on behalf of
FIAP and the IPF volunteered to host the Colour Biennial in 2025.
The work for this started in 2023 with a committee of volunteers being established. The members
of the committee were

The members of Drogheda Photographic Club, led by their President Gabriel O’Shaughnessy,
volunteered the use of their premises for the judging and helped with the logistics.
The judging took place on Saturday 18 October 2025.
