Public facilities must be tough wearing and relatively low
cost, yet they must also be humane rather than institutional
places. Over years we have developed processes and
a reputation for delivering wonderful and enriching
environments within defined budgets. Intrinsic to our
design process is an intelligent selection and placement of
materials, which through clever design achieve a functional
outcome at lower initial cost and total cost of ownership.
We also deliver an aesthetic presentation that is intended
to not ‘date’ quickly while still presenting as engagingly
contemporary.

Our particular skill is to do this while also creating places
that are thoughtful, coherent and flexible solutions that
engage the whole person.

As a consequence, the inherent flexibility will serve not only
the initial brief, but will enable the accommodation of the
evolving life of the community.

We have award winning achievement in innovative ESD
solutions. With our recent Woodleigh project we worked
with and challenged our specialist consultants to devise an
integrated set of active and passive ESD features including
orientation, material choice, cross-ventilation, solar & water
catchment and consideration for limited impact on the
surrounding natural environment. We integrate ESD thinking
into the project from the beginning.
