Fellow Lions,
California has experienced Wild Fires in two major areas. Firefighters are battling Camp Fire located in Butte County. 140,000 acres have burned, and 56 fatalities confirmed. More than 10,000 structures have been destroyed including homes. Firefighters are also battling Woolsey Fire located in Los Angles County. 98,000 acres have been burned, and 3 fatalities confirmed. More than 435 structures have been destroyed.
I would like to ask my fellow Texas Lions and Texas Lions Clubs to consider donating to the California Lions Foundation in Multiple District 4 California. Last year, lions from Multiple District 4 California donated several thousands of dollars to MD 2 Texas Lions for relief recovery of Hurricane Harvey.
This is our opportunity for our lion’s service as an International Association of Lions to go forward and help our communities in California.
