Picnic in the Park

On May 19, a sunny day shaded by the oak trees, the District 2-X1 annual picnic was held, at the Kiest Park in Dallas. This is an annual event to bring the 2-X1 families together for camaraderie and fun. 1VDGE Lion Vinod Mathur with the help from 2VDGE Billy Ketner and the Lions from Dallas Filipino Lions helped organized the event. Sumptuous lunch consisting of Fajitas and brisket filled the palates of hungry Lions.
Lions 100% awards were distributed by IPDG Bill Smothermon. Fun games like hot potato, water balloon toss, egg walk, Frisbee toss and bingo kept the district Lions immersed in the fun, until the evening. Special thanks to all Lions who took time out to join and help, Lion Gloria for organizing the delicious lunch and Lion Theresa Henkel for organizing the games. Lastly, thanks to the District 2-X1 for sponsoring this event for the enjoyment of our Lions!!

District 2-X1 makes a clean sweep in all three categories taking the LOFY awards at the MD-2 convention held in Corpus Christi on May 26, 2018. Following are the results of the competitions:
