Become a TLERC Focus Club Member
Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (TLERC) supplies used eyeglasses to Lions and other group missions who provide vision screening and assistance in developing countries. Over 850,000 eye glasses were recycled in Midland TX at our recycling center last year. Our district sent over 75,000 pairs. Lion Gene LeFevers is our 2-X1 District Director for TLERC. He should be contacted for all needed pickups from your site or deliveries to his site. One of the easiest ways to get your recycled glasses to Lion Gene is at one of our four District Cabinet Meetings. Please bring your good usable glasses to the district functions in good strong boxes. No cases and no loose lenses please. Lion Gene will get them to Midland. He can also be reached between cabinet meetings if you have a large volume of collected glasses at:

TLERC funding comes from the Lions of Texas. They are in need of a new roof on the bunkhouse. new mowing equipment and the parking lot needs to be resealed. We Lions need to support TLERC. Please consider becoming a TLERC Focus Member and earn your “Patch” by donating $3.00 per club member to support the TLERC efforts. Send your checks directly to TLERC, 2550 Flint, Midland TX, 79701. Our District Governor would look good to the rest of the State if we could become a focus District.
