2017-2018 CLUB EXCELLENCE AWARD
Club Presidents and VP’s. Have your club earn LCI’s
prestigious Club Excellence Award for this Lion year.
This award is for clubs that excel in community service, membership growth, communication and organizational management.
Earning this LCI award is not that hard!
Is your Lions club doing all the things they swore they would do when it received an LCI Charter? Then you probably meet the CEA criteria. Start now to make sure you can apply for this year.
Check the exact criteria as defined on page 54 of the current District Directory. You should have received a copy at the July Cabinet meeting. It is also available on-line at the District 2-X1 Webpage. http://www.lions2- x1.org/

Many of our fellow Texas Lions have been adversely affected by the large amounts of rain and wind caused by Hurricane Harvey.
We are in the initial planning stages, in coordination with GST Chairs from south Texas, to assist Lions that have been adversely affected by Hurricane Harvey. This will involve both collecting and delivering material goods, not necessarily covered by the cost of insurance. We will be asking clubs in District 2-X1 to "adopt a club" that has specific, pressing material
needs. We will also be considering the cost involved in this operation. If you are interested in serving on this committee, contact me at liondiggerdean@gmail.com or 469-767-5317.
