Dallas Everest Lions Club Celebrated 14th Years of Service
On May 6, 2017 in Irving, TX the DELC organized an annual Charity Gala ‘An Evening in Nepal 2017’, a great event full of entertainment, presentations and honoring the special contributors to the clubs success. Guiding Lion Carlton Dorman and his wife PDG Carolyn Dorman were honored by the DELC President Radha Krishna Kaphle for their continuous support, guidance and training of the members of DELC since its establishment. Important guests at the event were PCC John Eads, PCC Joe Montag, DG Elect Henry White along with many other past district governors, DELC President Ajaya Chhochoon, community leaders, members
of various district 2-X1 Lions Clubs and leading members of our community were present. DELC announced and presented ‘The Best Lion Award 2017’ to DELC Lion VP Thala Raj Panta for his meaningful contributions to in 2017. Likewise, Leo President Mr. Arpan Kaphle and Leo Advisor President Elect BN Panta also received a Certificate for their Excellency. DELC President Mr. Kaphle also presented certificates of appreciation to various sponsors.
Chief Guest PCC John delivered his motivational titled “We all are family as members” of largest service organization in the world, Lions Clubs International. Renowned Nepali singer Sangita Chhochoon, Folk Singer Bhim Thapa and performer Shristii Ghimire and Ericka Pathak presented their amazing performances at the event then the floor was opened for dancing with some great music played by DJ Prashant Poudyal.
It was noted that Dallas Everest Lions Club was
awarded ‘Club of the Year 2016/2017’ from District 2-X1. Club President Radha Krishna Kaphle and President Elect BN Panta were honored with the Lions Clubs International Presidential Award’ for the 2016-17 year. These awards have been the greatest achievement of DELC throughout its 14 years of services.

There were three different Lions clubs coming together to welcome the Vietnam Combat Veterans Wall Memorial showing our Lion’s respect.
