Lions Clubs Holiday Traditions
The Salvation Army put the Lions in Waxahachie to work for Christmas again. The entire Waxahachie Lions Club signed up to help this Christmas. The photo on the left has Lion PDG John Landrum hard at work. On the right Patrick Wilson and the disabled (on crutches) Lion Gary Estes ringing the bell. The Waxahachie Lions raised $1000. Looks like all is well in Waxahachie.
The DeSoto Lions continued their long tradition of ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. The bell ringers were: Allen Dunbar, John Ritter, Grant Tate, Ron Stuart, Renee Johnson, Fred Hart, Jr. and Dale Edgin rang the bell for his dad Jerry Edgin. The picture to the left shows (L to R) Lions Grant Tate and Ron Stuart hard at work. DeSoto Lions raised $400 for the Salvation Army. They had the Christmas Spirit to serve.
Well at the Plano Early Lions Club it’s all hands on deck for their presentation of the Plano Lions Christmas Parade. Each year they administer and implement the Christmas Parade for the 15000+ Plano parade goers. There were over 100 floats, trucks, groups and marchers from every walk of life and business participating in the parade. All seven of the PISD High School bands, ROTC and marching majorettes participated. It is the most unique “organized confusion” you would ever participate in but the most fun you could ever have in a 6 hour morning.
