The Coppell Lions Club 32nd Annual Pancake Breakfast was held Saturday, February 10th, in Smartt Hall at the First United Methodist Church in Coppell. The event was a great success, with well over 600 tickets sold. The breakfast featured pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and great coffee. Lions handled the cooking, serving, clean up and hospitality, with help from the Coppell High School Leos. The Leos are a high school based service club associated with the Lions.
The Carter Blood Bus was on hand to accept blood donations. Carter BloodCare and the Coppell Lions have worked together on this blood drive for many years. The Lions are delighted to help Carter stage the drive, especially during this unusually difficult flu season.
Proceeds from the Pancake Breakfast go to fund Coppell Lions Club service projects, including their Holiday Food and Toy Drive, Scholarship Program, SPOT Vision
Program, Pediatric Cancer Initiative and Diabetes
Awareness Program. The Coppell Lions also support
the Texas Lions Camp, a summer camp for children with disabilities. “I’d like to thank all of our sponsors for helping us raise money to fund these very worthwhile service projects,” said Dan Madden, Coppell Lions Club President. “A special thanks to Frost Bank Coppell, our lead sponsor. As Lions, we also greatly appreciate everyone here in the Coppell community who contributes to our fund raisers. With your help, we are able to make a positive difference.”
