Ask students what they think of Mr. Horne and they will probably answer with, “ he’s there when you need him,’’ or, “he's someone you can talk to when you’ve got a problem.’’ Mr. Horne, in his eighteen years as headmaster, has evoked this sort of feeling from many students. The fact that Mr. Horne is the longest-serving headmaster of New Jersey independent schools is testimony to his close relationship with students and adept management of the school.
This year he has faced one of the most difficult tasks of his career in running a merged school He met this with the vigor and determination that mark his character. He unites us and continues as someone students can talk to.
