Eighth Grade Increased by Eight
 86
Eight new members provided a substantial in crease in the Class of 1973, which had been un usually small the previous year. Eighth graders did well in their studies and placed nine students on the first-trimester honor roll.
In athletics, the height and weight of the eighth grade made it the-backbone of junior teams. Aca demically, a considerable number of eighth graders pursued five major subjects, adding Latin to their regular program of English, mathematics, science, and history.
Representing the eighth grade on Junior Stu dent Council were J. Gilmore Childers, James F. Reynolds, and Stuart R. Brower.
