GIRLS' VARSITY BASKETBALL
Although the Lady Rams finished with a 10-13 record, there certainly were some highlights. For one, there was the come-from-behind 4th quarter wins against St. Elizabeth's, Rutger's Prep, and Pingry.
The team was led by the senior tri-captains Jacqueline Co, Carmelyn Malalis, and Valerie Pate. The team awards went to Valerie Pate, Most Valuable Player, Jamie Reitman, Most Improved Player, and Carmelyn Malalis and Jacqueline Co,
the Coaches' Award. The best new player on the team was freshman Sarah Bashe.
Next year's team will greatly miss Valerie Pate's outstanding play. Valerie scored 1,196 points and grabbed 888 rebounds in her varsity career. Both of these marks established new school records. Valerie was also selected as a member of the State Independent Schools First Team All-Stars. Congratulations Val, and thanks for a tremenĀ dous career.
