"There is no such thing as a "self-made" man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success."
— George Matthew Adams
When George Adams said this, he could have been thinking of Mrs. Rhona Eserner, a remarkable woman
who has taught at Wardlaw-Hartridge since before the merger in 1976. Mrs. Eserner is known by all as the head of the Mathematics Department and as the faculty advisor to the Student Council. In addition she helps to organize school events such as the annual Semi-formal Winter Ball, the sale of lobsters, and student forums. Mrs. Eserner is also an academic advisor to seniors who will truly miss her words of concern, encouragement, and advice.
For your college recommendations, kind deeds, and sincerity, we thank you, Mrs. Eserner, and dedicate this 1992 Tempora et Mores to you. You have entered into the character of Wardlaw-Hartridge and for that we are grateful.
