Mr. Prentice Horne, Headmaster: What Would Wardlaw Do Without Him?
A caretaker of Wardlaw and a father to each one of its boys, that is what Mr. Prentice C. Horne has been since his arrival in 1959 as headmaster of our school. It would be hard to point up the one aspect of school where Mr. Horne has played his greatest role, for he is vital to every facet of Wardlaw. He counsels, and he consults; he disciplines, and he praises; he regulates, and he supervises; he raises children, and he raises funds; and one can probably catch him occasionally closing and tidying up school for the night. Mr. Horne is Wardlaw and Wardlaw is Mr. Horne. To most the two would appear inseparable.
