Field Day, which was held on May the eleventh, under the manage ment of Virginia Welles, who conducted the events with great capability and success, was watched with much enthusiasm by both onlookers and
a111cipants. At the outset it was hard to say who would he the victor as there were several contestants of nearly equal prowess. However, Cornelia Mclntire received three first places, in archery, the hundred yard dash, and the broad jump. With this lead she easily won. In the ele
mentary Caroline Douglas, who from the first was outstandingly the best. won the medal.
