This year the Middle School theme has been “Construction” and how fitting cause we began the year in a completely re-constructed facility. Until this past ptember, the Middle School never had a real home. W e just sort of were fitted into the naining space between the Upper and Lower Schools when we became one campus a v years ago. We were the "Hyphen” in the W -H but a growing hyphen who needed stretch out a bit. With our new space ready for us, we moved in and have been very chat home since. But our new space is not the only way we relate to the "Construction" 'me. We also have a new Student Council which sponsored a dance as well as many
iferent fundrasiers throughout the year. O ur most successful fundraiser was done in an ‘ort to suport the tsunami victims of Southeast Asia. Although the waves did not crash pn on our shores, we were still affected by this disaster and felt motivated to do mething about it. With the participation of the entire school, the Middle School Student 'uncil raised over $1,056 for the Thailand Physicians of America Association to help the iami survivors. It was with great passion and sympathy that we helped raise this relief ney. As a Middle School, we have tried to help construct a new beginning for the °ple who live in Southeast Asia. I am honored to be a part of the W ardlaw-Hartridge adle School because we are no longer just the “Hyphen.” W e are a concerned and
group of young adults who are motivated to help others in need.
