 “The 1978 Cross-Country season was a long, hard, and frustrating one. With only nine runners, four of whom were freshmen, trying to find victory was a difficult task and a rare occurrence,” stated Coach Ralph Muoio. Despite the dis­ couraging record of 3-14-0, the
future appears promising as the top two runners were juniors and only one of the top five runners was lost to graduation. The vast improve­ ment and individual accomplish­ ments of all the members of the team make the prospects for the 1979 season look hopeful.
