“Speed, strong defensive skills, enthusiasm, and hustle” are the words used by Coach Link Kcur to describe the main assets of this year’s varsity baseball team. The team is a young one, including only three seniors. Returning lettermen include Dave Lonski, first baseman and All-State member; Mitch Rei- der, second baseman; Peter Angelo, outfielder; and Fred Scheer, pitcher
and outfielder. The catching chores will be handled by Walt Sierotko and Bill Welker, while Tim Swain has emerged as a promising new­ comer. Coach Keur cited pitching and hitting as the major areas for the team to concentrate on this year, and added that the general inexperience of the team presented an extra factor to be overcome.
