An Important And Influential Force”
Dr. Garrett Keating, president of the Wardlaw-Hartridge Board of Trustees, defines the primary concerns of the Board as being the strengthening of the development program and the expanding of the enrollment capacity of the school. The development program functions to raise the funds necessary for the running of the school. Plans are being made to seek alumni and alumnae support to aid in this effort. An increase in the enrollment capacity to include a greater number of qualified students would provide a more diverse student body and would promote the scholastic standards of the school. The Board is hoping to eventually reach the goal of 600 students.
One of Dr. Keating’s own objectives as a Board member is to insure the financial independence and security of the school. This financial stability is necessary for maintaining and developing the high standards of scholastic achievement held by the school.
The Board of Trustees is an important and influential force in the school. Its competence and abilities have been demon strated with the success of its most notable undertaking, the merger. Led by such dedicated members as Dr. Keating, the Board of Trustees continues to maintain the traditional standards and values of education which have characterized Wardlaw-Hartridge throughout its history.
