“ She is li\’ing on a farm. It is just the place for her. She can hav^e all she wants to eat, and she uses her beautiful voice to call the cows home.”
Just then a whirring noise came to our ears. Looking out of the port hole we saw an aeroplane. From it dangled a rope ladder on which some one was performing dare-devil stunts. It was most exciting and we rushed on deck to get a better view. To our surprise the airship came to a landing on our steamer. The aviator and the acrobat were soon sur­
rounded by an enthusiastic crowd. To our unbounded amazement we
recognized the aviator as Jean Bassett, and her daring companion was none other than Sarah Maud Weyerhaeuser.
