A Romance of Advertisio

Once upon a time there lived in the sunkist land of Advertisio a beautiful girl named Cutex Fatima. She was the fairest in the land, glorious with henna hair, a skin you love to touch, and teeth smiling like Tecla pearls
between a pair of rosebud lips. When she spoke her voice was as quiet and smooth as Wesson Oil and her body seemed to float like Ivory Soap as she walked. She lived on a terraced hill in a House-Beautiful, resplendent with
Community Plate, Pyex, and beautiful colored linoleum rugs.
Now, fair Cutex Fatima was secretly betrothed to Lord Houbigant, whom her father, Vivadou, hated with fifty-seven varieties of hatred.
Vivadou was an ugly man. He was so bald-headed that his head looked
