 Administration
Burgess N. Ayres, Headmaster, Lake Forest College-, University of Hartford, M. Ed.
As we enthusiastically entered the second century of Wardlaw-Hartridge (or was it as we fearfully ap proached this Orwellian year?), we all felt secure under the leadership of Mr. Burgess Ayres. Our headmaster’s dedication and enthusiasm have been felt in every phase of school life. During first period Mr. Ayres often took attendance and sometimes stopped to chat with the students. During the academic day, he made sure the school ran smoothly and productively. After school he was usually seen at athletic events and other extracurri cular activities. We all look forward to many more years of Mr. Ayres’ leadership and dedication . . . and his omnipresent coffee cup.
