Following in last year's footsteps, the junior foot ball team turned in another undefeated season.
Once again strong defensive play furnished the offense with many chances to handle the ball; and, when they had the ball, they were able to move. The offense gained most of its yardage on the ground behind the excellent running of Don McGinn, who was as dangerous on end sweeps as he was going through the line.
John Connell, at the other half back position, was especially good at gaining the short yardage needed for a first down. Mike Kelly quarterbacked the team, and his leadership and play-calling ability were out standing throughout the season.
Along with the hard running of the backs went the strong play of the offensive line. All of this combined to make an undefeated season and a league champion ship for the junior team, which had only nineteen points scored against it.
