This was a very stimulating year for the Health Careers Club. Under the leadership of President Joe Rempson, Vice- President Kenneth Melchionna, and with the aid of faculty advisor, Mrs. Napolitano, many informative trips were ar ranged to acquaint members with opportunities for a variety of careers in the health related fields. The trips ranged from visiting Middlesex County College, to learning about health technology, and to the viewing of actual open-heart surgery at Newark’s Beth Israel Hospital. A tour of the College of Medicine and Dentistry was also interesting and informative.
The Health Careers Club is one of the school’s most popu lar and active clubs. This year members attempted to edu cate their fellow students by distributing informative literature during Health Education Week and providing nutritional snacks to the students and faculty during National Nutrition Week. The year was a well planned success.
