This year’s Varsity Swim Team was one of many new faces. Coach Charles Brown and a strong team pulled off a 4-8 record. Marcel Lissinna, Dave Lane, Margarita Reyes, and Steve Ashton all came up from the junior team to turn in impressive records. Amy Yoder, Dave Stout and Peggy Burgess made a diving threesome. Pointgetters included the tri-captains Chip Gerber, Liz Charlton, and Kathy Lynch. Lisa Minard and Julie Casagrande, next year’s captain, also gave strong performances. The season highlight came in the girl’s state meet where W-H edged out Pingry and Blair to capture second place.
