T he fourteen members of the cheerleading squad are making a name for themselves at W-M.
Seniors Marianna Biribin, co-captain Lisa Qay, co-captain Marissa Miller, and rsicole Everhart lead the largest squad W-H has seen in years. The cheerleaders even had to hold tryouts for the team because of the big number of girls who volunteered.
The cheerleaders are becoming more of an impact at W-M. Under new head coach Mrs. Shelley Miller, the cheerĀ leaders are on a mission "to get school spirit back to Wardlaw".
Early this fall the cheerleaders, who endured extremes of weather last year, were without last year's coach, Mrs. Dana Sudan, who moved to Pennsylvania. Mrs. Miller, captain of her cheerleading squad in high school, rescued the team when she volunteered to sacrifice her time and coach the squad.
Mrs. Miller sees "more of a team effort this year". She hopes that this rebirth of "excitement" will inject the students with more school spirit.
