Outstanding Performances Spark Midseason Turnaround
What better way to turn five straight losses around than to win the next four games? Such was the story of this year’s Field Hockey Team as Coach Arlene Jachim took a young and inexperienced team and led it to a regular season victory over the first seeded team of the Field Hockey Tournament.
Much of the credit must go to the outstanding performances of the team members, however. Miss Jachim praised Sue Stout and Eloise Cordasco while exceptional showings earned Bonnie Sermons and Roxane Brown positions on the 1977 NJAIS All Star Field Hockey Team.
With these four members and most of the team returning in the coming year Coach Jachim has “ high hopes for 1978.’’
