Mr. Prentice Horne1. Experience And Dedication
During his sixteen years as Headmaster of Wardlaw Country Day School, Mr. Prentice C. Horne has guided Wardlaw's continuous improvement and expansion.
A graduate of Deerfield Academy and Amherst College, Mr. Horne served as an officer with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He then spent 74 years as a teacher and an administrator at Deerfield before his appointment as Headmaster of Wardlaw in August, 1959. Since that time, the student body has grown from 144 to the current 355 enrollment. He has seen the six upper grades of the school move from the old Central Avenue address to a beautiful new campus on Inman Avenue.
Mr. Horne's experience and total dedication play a vital role in every aspect of Wardlaw life. He counĀ sels, consults, controls, commends, and coordinates.
Everyone involved with Wardlaw, especially the Class of 1975, owes Mr. Horne his gratitude for his irreĀ placeable time and effort.
