Beacon Staff
If experience is the best teacher, then the Wardlaw Beacon continued to improve upon its high journalistic standards. This year's staff was one of the largest and most experienced in the history of the paper. Through numer ous journalism seminars and clinics, the edi tors continued to perfect their skills. A jour nalism class taught to middle school students insured an ample supply of young reporters for the future.
The Beacon featured objective reporting of all school news, interesting feature articles and sensitive, responsible editorial comment. A strong emphasis was placed on making the newspaper more attractive and enjoyable through new layout techniques, larger and better photography, and more original works such as humor articles.
The 1974-75 Beacon was headed by Ben Liemer and Peter Kovacs, News Editors; Tony Pascale, Sports Editor; and Neil Horner, George Kimmel, Dan Merians, and Kurt Uhlman, Assistant Editors. Mr. Robert Paoli continued his guidance as faculty advisor to the paper.
