GIRL'S BASKETBALL (10-10) HAS STROHQ SEASOH
Look for some big and beautiful things next year from the girl's basketball team. Although this was a rebuilding season, the Rams established a re cord of 10-10. Most of their defeats were only by a few points, and you know what? They're not losing any starters! Michelle Wright and Valerie Pate com bined with Patty Lee to form the nucleus of the team. Jennifer Warnicke and Carmelyn Malalis
rounded out the starting line-up. All five were ei therjuniors or sophomores. Besides the five start ers Coach Everhart looks to have the most potent bench he's ever had. With strong back-ups like Dana Willis, Laura Moran, and Jackie Co, the team looks forward to their skilled contributions for next year's team.
Most Valuable Player: PATTY LEE
Most Improved Player: MICHELLE WRIGHT Coach's Award: CARMELYN MALALIS
season note: Coach Everhart was the first-ever W-H coach to be profiled in the Beacon. Patty Lee was chosen to play in the prep All-Star game. Valerie Pate scored W-H girl's basketball's first-ever triple double and also set the single game point scoring mark with 29 points vs. St. Mary's Hall. Both Valer ie and Patty scored 202 points-the first time W-H has ever had two girls score 200-f points in a season.
