VOLLEYBALL STEADILY IMPROVINQ
Volleyball definitely improved this year. Although their record of 2-7 shows improvement from last year, it does not tell of the progress the team had made over the season in terms of skill and spirit. This was helped by the fact that the team had an outstanding new coach - Ken Klenk. Coach Klenk worked extremely hard to whip the girls in shape and ran extensive drills to personally teach each team member the trade. After losing quite a few seniors this yeai, new stars arose such as Tara Clifford, who helped the team immensely with 7-9
point serving rallies, and junior Danielle DiNuzio, who seemed to come from nowhere to add strength. Returning stars were Dorian McNee, Kirsten Swensom Lotus Lim, Laura Michielli, and Captain Jessica Ramos. The J.V. team followed up with a 2-2 record. Team members are optimistic for next year. They are only losing Jessica, and although she will be a big loss, the amount of talent returning will be more than enough to keep the team going.
