more than a memory
It's hard to believe that over ten years have passed since that fateful September morning in 2001-a day that is still affecting Americans today. To commemorate the anniversary and pay tribute to the heroes of September 11th, first responders from the New York/New Jersey area gathered in Laidlaw Gym in a ceremony organized by senior Margaret Basti and her family. In addition to remarks from Edison Mayor Ricigliano and members of the FDNY and Edison First Aid Squad, Margaret and fellow senior Lian Cancryn shared stories of their own experiences. Margaret noted that this ceremony was for more than just remembering 9/11, saying that "first responders still risk their lives every day."
