Pep Rally
& Homecoming
The Friday afternoon before Fall Fair, all the W-H sports teams and their peers gather in Laidlaw Gym for the annual Pep Rally. The teams are recognized one by one, running through a tunnel of cheerleaders into the gym to get the school and the players excited for their Homecoming games the next day. It is the culmination of a week of bursting school spirit, made even more exciting by the dance-off, the cheerleaders' and Rambunctious' season debut, and the announcement of Spirit Week winners. Students, teachers, and family members are a sea of green and gold in the stands, filling the gym with a roar of support for the W-H Rams.
At the end of Spirit Week, the competition is opened I up to more than the Upper School in a final dance-off
during the Pep Rally. Teams from Lower School all the
way through Upper School battled it out, and even the mascot Rambunctious joined in the chicken dance.
The competition was fierce, but in the end, only three could place: Price Tag took third, Birds of a Feather came in second, and Who Run the World came out on top in first place.
