 rSenior Auction
I Saturday evening, March 31, was a very enjoyable and lucrative time for the Class of 2012. With about two months of planning under the guidance of Deans Pat Fielder and Dawn Francavilla,
Ia wide variety of items was auctioned off by science teacher and very part time auctioneer Roland Marionni. Donations included Keurig coffee makers, a flat screen TV, baskets of goodies for college-bound students, Yankees and Devils tickets, and various services offered by the seniors themselves. Thanks to the generous bidding during the evening, the senior class made enough to cover the cost of this years prom.
Spanish Exchange: more than Spring Break
Every two years, a group of students participates in a Spanish exchange with Altair Colegio Internacional, a high school in Madrid, Spain. From March 10 through March 23, eight students and Senora Reyes traveled to Spain. While there, they visited various cities including Madrid, Cordoba, Toledo, and Segovia. They also got to visit many famous locations including Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the Auqueduct of Segovia, the Great Mosque of Cordoba, and many other beautiful places. During their trip, the students immersed themselves in the Spanish language and culture. In early April, the Spaniards experienced W-H and life in America. For many, it was their first time in the United States.
