On Saturday evening, December 13th, 1919, we presented at the Audi­ torium, the “Alcestis” of Euripides. Long before the eventful day every seat had been sold for this, the first public production of Hartridge for which charge was made. 7Te proceeds went towards payment for the
beautiful velvet curtain.
The perfection of setting and fidelity of atmosphere, which were sus­
tained throughout, were made possible by the beautiful incidental harp music of Miss Mildred Dilling, the scenery created by Mr. Jonas Lie, the costumes designed and prepared by Mrs. Lie and Miss Murphy, the skil-
