Headmaster Makes Impressive Commitment to School and Community.
As a result of some research into the yearbooks covering the past five years, the staff discovered that all of its predecessors had come to the same conclusion: the names Wardlaw and Horne are virtually synonymous. We have no quarrel with that conclusion.
Yet (his total commitment to the school’s life and growth lies alongside an im pressive commitment to the world outside Wardlaw. Prentice Horne is an active member of the Plainfield Rotary Club, serving on its Board of Trustees and con tributing, therefore, to the larger life of the community. A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, he works hard in many aspects of its life, in cluding chairman of its Board of Trustees. Mr. Horne’s commitment to in dependent education has been both state and nationwide. Until a few years ago he was President of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.
The wealth of experience which all this has brought him has been channeled back into the life of Wardlaw, making it the outstanding independent school it is. Everyone associated with him in the Plainfield area or in the world of education stands deeply in his debt.
