Yearbook Recognizes Mrs. Lewis B. Timberlake as Vital Link in Wardlaw’s Life.
For any school to run efficiently, many people have many different roles to play; but unfortunately the student body does not always come into close contact with some of them. However, there is not a student during the last decade of Wardlaw’s history who has not been thrown into contact with Mrs. Julie Timberlake.
Every year the seniors are particularly indebted to her for all the work she does on college transcripts and know well the vital link lying between her work and their college acceptances. But her devotion to Wardlaw students extends far beyond that. Any eighth grader will vouch for her willingness to lend a dime to call home, while upperclassmen have benefited from her expertise in teaching a typing class. No grade fails to feel her in fluence when they receive their report cards from the secretarial staff of which she is overseer.
It is for these, and many other reasons, that the Editor of the Maroon and Gold chose to dedicate the yearbook to Mrs. Timberlake and joins with the Senior Class in thanking her for all she has done to make their years at Wardlaw just a little bit easier.
