Mothers’ Association
Mothers' Association
The flurry of activity associated with the Mothers' Association has become such an ongoing part of Wardlaw's life that it is till too easy to miss what is going on. Students tend to forget that without them the All-Purpose Room would look sadly bare for the Thanksgiving Dinner: many a throat would go dry without refreshments after an athletic event: and equipment would be unavailable without the Mothers' Store.
The two fund-raising events of the Association are the Fall Fair, which is held in con junction with Homecoming Day. and the Dessert Bridge, held in early spring. In the past these events have netted substantial sums which have been used for the development of the school's programs.
The 1972-73 Association was under the presidency of Mrs. Eugene Childers, who was assisted by Mrs. Garrett Keating, first vice president: Mrs. Robert Strain, second vice president; Mrs. Benedict Torcivia. treasurer: Mrs. Donald Calkins, recording secretary: and Mrs. Victor Dankis. corresponding secretary.
