was granted The Regional Event Management
Excellence Award for being recognized as the
best events department in the region, based on
increased revenue by upselling effectively, high
Associate Engagement Survey scores, best customer
service quality, contributing to the community
by participating in community service, and
continuously delivering creative and innovative
events.
Ilaina Franco-Franka, Director of Events &
Banquets, was presented The Chairman Circle
Award recognizing her as the best top 1% Events
leader in the American Continent, competing
with all properties within the continent in terms
of revenue and service excellence scores increase
compared to initial goal. Additionally, Mrs. Franco
– Franka was awarded the prestigious Global Event
Leadership Diamond Award for her commitment
to excellence, her initiative for consistently going
above and beyond for her clients and the hotel, the
outstanding annual results and for elevating the
hotel for future success.
As the Director of Events & Banquets, Ilaina
Franco - Franka, is actively and continuously
developing and formulating strategies to ensure
that the Events & Banquets team is engaged in all
areas, including but not limited to P&Ls, numbers,
and other related service scores. As a leader she
ensures that her team is involved and on top of
trending developments in the events industry and
continuously seeking creative ways to introduce
new concepts and ideas by using images and videos
that set the tone for interaction and a learning
environment. Furthermore, Mrs. Franco – Franka
played a vital role in building and maintaining
relationships with clients, which ultimately leads to
long-lasting relationships and repeat clients as well
as a positive word of mouth. Moreover, as a leader,
she believes in the development and advancement
of each team member and is constantly training her
subordinates in various areas and providing cross-
training opportunities.

efforts towards a common goal which entails
focusing on delivering brilliant service but most
