Youth Power is entering its final phase THE Youth Power Project commis-
We are proud of our Powerful youth sion has recruited, gotten to know and
guide nominated Young ones for the
ARUBA TRAVELLER - Wednesday, August 12 2015 past 5 months.
A total of 18 teens were nominated to
participate in this Project.
Youth Power Project is a Project intro-
duced by Minister Paul Croes and was
surrendered to ATHA to execute.
A 6 person commission consisting of
members of different Government de-
partments met to formulate present and
execute the right management to help
Young ones in our community.
16 teens took the course and had to give
a presentation proving their knowledge
on leadership in front of a jury and oth-
er teens in Cas di Cultura for two days.
The kids will be presented to a panel
consisting of known people in our
community that will motivate them
and coach them on how to achieve
their goals.
The first day panel consisted of Mrs.
Cheryldine Buckley, Mr. James Sneek,
Mr. Alberto Groenveldt, Mr, Lito Lacle
and Young medal winner Ms. Kyrah
Hoevertsz.
The commission was proud of all those
present and all their presentations, but
most importantly the positive changes
seen among the group of kids.
Music, dance, acting, art and all kinds
of creativity could be seen during the
first day of presentation.
Remarkable is that most of the presen-
tations were about love, perseverance,
union, creativity, respect and most
importantly recognizing that these
positive teens can help other teens in
our community.
The first morning went very well, 100
kids came together to support each
other and get to know the candidates
and towards the end they voted for the
Young ones that stood out most during
the day.
The ultimate winner will be announced
on Wednesday night at the Ritz Carlton
ballroom.
Wednesday is the International Youth
Day and all the Young ones participat-
ing in the Project will celebrate along
with Minister Paul Croes, PdH and
other family members.
The Youth Power Commission thanks
all those that have made this Project
possible.
