27 HUNTER’S BEND

Used for joining two ropes together, the Hunter’s Bend is well suited to stiff or

slippery synthetic ropes. It is a square shaped knot formed by laying the two
working ends parallel, but pointing in opposite directions, then forming them
into a loop, and turning the working ends through the loop. The bend is then
               worked tight.
