and it becomes a republic. In 1914,
Yuan Shikai makes himself a dictator
of China, but after Yuan dies in 1916,
the Chinese were forced to surrender
even more to the British. China descends into a time of disorder.
In 1894, China is again involved in a 3 years after the Yuan’s death, Chinese
battle, but this time with Japan. The students protests in Beijing, which
Japanese quickly prevailed as they becomes the Fourth of May Movement
